My new favorite jeans from Old Navy

I was going to post a recipe today, but my toe turned off the surge protector, and I lost everything I had typed. Grrrr... I already had this post ready to go. So today... you get jeans!

So I recently stumbled upon my new favorite thing: Old Navy Rockstar Jeans in super soft denim. Ladies have been talking about Rockstar jeans for years, and I've tried them on with no success in the past. But this super soft denim actually feels good when you put it on! I'm not saying they are going to give your favorite joggers a run for their money, but for jeans, and especially for the price, you need to at least try them on.

Years ago I vowed to never wear jeans again, and then I broke that vow almost immediately. Because fashion. But jeans do suck. They can be stiff and cut off your digestion. I can't tell you how many times I have unbuttoned my jeans sitting at my desk after lunch. These days they are supposed to be tight and show off all of our assets. Or liabilities (accounting humor). And being almost 40 and not entirely fitness inclined, jeans are getting more difficult.

Anyway... I found these jeans at Old Navy and they are pretty amazing. They are soft. They have an adorable raw hem. And because they have a higher rise, they don't fall down all day. I do have to give them a tug every once in a while, but they are nothing like those damn, low-rise jeans that want to prove just how low they can really go. They also seem to hold their shape really well. And an added bonus - the hubs thinks they look good, too!

I also picked up the Luxe tee above in a fushia color. Also very soft and only 8 bucks so I won't be that sad when little man smears his food all over it. On the other hand I was able to dress it up the other night with a chunky necklace (and my jeans) and call it evening wear! The Luxe fabric comes in tanks, too. I was a medium in the tank but a large in the tee so the sizing doesn't seem consistent.

Also, I'm a dodo and didn't take any pictures of the outfit.

So now I have some Old Navy Super Cash burning a hole in my pocket. I need to spend it by Sunday. Any recommendations? I'm thinking about trying a pair of their leggings with the pocket. Perfect for holding a pacifier while crawling all over the floor...
